This thread is dedicated to discussing the progress and suggestions in regards to The Hyperboard.
Our philosophy behind the product
Our vision is that The Hyperboard should be intelligent, extensible and open.
Intelligent
We want to make The Hyperboard intelligent by hooking it up with sensors, connecting it to the internet. We want to make use of the sensors to build features such as driving assistance that will aim to improve the safety and the fun factor.
Extensible
The Hyperboard is extensible in terms of software and hardware. Add new components and functionality over time. The idea is that users will be able to extend their Hyperboards by downloading software and hardware extensions.
Open Platform
We want to grow a community of developers, designers and engineers to build on top of our technology. That is why currently I am working on refactoring the source code of The Hyperboard. Learn more about the refactoring and how you can contribute here.
Development Progress Overview
In progress now
- Refactor the code so it's easier to develop on top of it. (details)
- Iterating the design of the deck to make it slimmer and lighter
- Interconnect hardware components in a modular manner (video demo)
